BIOGRAPHY

Beth was born in Melbourne, Victoria and lived on her parents’ grazing property in the Albury district.

She moved to Sydney and worked as an Occupational Therapist. She has travelled extensively including: Europe, America, Middle East and Asia, visiting galleries and museums besides experiencing remote areas inland and around coastal Australia.

She joined the John Ogburn Studio in 1972 and became a member of the co-operative when the Harrington Street Gallery was formed. She had been in group exhibitions, including the Autumn and Spring exhibitions, for thirty-four years.

“By attending the John Ogburn Studio together with regular meetings with her group exhibitors, I have been given the opportunity to look more critically at my paintings. I respond to these experiences and I am then able to develop ideas for painting.”
